The BCAA Traffic Safety Foundation conducts research to learn more about the factors underlying BC’s crashes and road-related injuries and deaths. These reports are not only of interest to road safety professionals, but they are also relevant for parents and others who care about the safety of their children, other family and community members.

Learn more about why teenagers crash and the role that parent’s driving habits plays on their teenager’s driving. It appears that the saying “like father, like son” is not out of line. Fathers, in particular, have a significant impact on their teenager’s driving habits. A significant correlation was found between parent tickets and crashes and their teen driver’s propensity to get tickets and be involved in crashes.
