Child Car Seat Matching Fund
The BCAA Traffic Safety Foundation has $100,000 to match funds you contribute for child car seats needed in your community.
Are there children in your community who don’t have child car seats or booster seats?
We will match organization’s and individual’s contributions towards the purchase of child car seats for use by families and groups in your community. Together with your donations, up to $200,000 will be used to purchase child car seats for BC children who need them.

Why is contributing important?
Are you aware that since July 1, 2008, all children under nine years must be secured in an appropriate car seat? One of the most important ways of protecting children is to secure them in an appropriate child car seat or booster seat every time they ride in a vehicle.
But too many children in BC are not protected when they are passengers. For some parents, the cost of a child seat is a barrier. Others may simply be unaware of the safety benefits or legal requirements. And, the new child seat legislation is impacting schools, day cares, community centres, in fact any organization that transports children under the age of nine.
